Oh yeah, I still think they should do a show based off of A Phi O...mwhahahaha
(We'll need it to be on FOX so that they can follow CLOSE family around---- scandalous!!!)

hey all
haven't been doing much lately, been sitting around the house.
cleaned my room, cleaned the kitchen, stared at the wall.
sleeping in really late in the afternoon since there is no reason to wake up

yep yep
thats about it, so as you can see, nothing interesting to blog about...

and finally something has arrived...
"Sorority Life" has premired on MTV.
Its about as good as any TV show, 'cept its placed in Davis.
so now when we say... I don't like her etc.... we can actually find them on campus and say "I don't like you"
(umm.... right, I would probably never do that, but it is tempting- considering one of the girls that annoys me is usually in my English classes)
but we spent the whole episode saying stuff like "Hey, there's the train station" or "Hey, there's Fugi's" or "What apartment complex is that?"
and I got to say "look, there's Bryan in the back" or defend the people who I do know. (yeah, I know one of the sisters and one of the pledges... and I had class with one of the other pledges)
its an okay show I guess, I'll keep watching, even if some of the girls do need to take some midol

Here we go again,
finals just about finished (one more in 13 hours)

talked to my friend Rick tonight, haven't talked to him in a while. I think Fanime con was our last real conversation.
and so we talked about school and stuff, and what we are doing in life.
Rick is a Japanese major, and so I asked if he was going to do the JET program (where you teach english in Japan for a year)
and he said that he doesn't really like to change things since he is comfortable where he is. (yeah, like me, that's the Libra in us)

so that got me thinking.
sometimes change is forced upon you
like, suddenly having to move
and sometimes, its forced, but you know it is coming
like graduating
There's alot of people graduating this year (Christina, Lily, Sarah, Tony, Reymond, Joe- just to name a few) and its scary to move on,.
and its scary for the people you leave behind. In joking around with Christina today, she said that sometime, years from now, we will bump into each other somewhere and not recogize each other. yeah, we were joking, and it would probably never happen to me and Boo, but what about the others. right now I am sure that if I ran into some of my high school classmates in a mall, I wouldn't recognize them.

but change is inevitable and often times very painful. Its a time to let go of the things you knew before and serach for something new. When I first came up to Davis- I was convinced that I would move back home after the first year. The allergies were a pain, and I was really lonely. I had a friend from home who called me everyday, and she got a boyfriend, and if you ahven't heard the story before- to make a long story short- she ditched me. We still talk, but maybe... once a month- online. I called her the other day, the first time I called her in at least a year. It was good to talk to her, but so much time has gone by you know.
and as much as I still do care for her, I wonder what would have happened if I returned home to retain our friendship.
What would have happened if I listened to my mother all those times and gave up and went home?
I really don't know

and as much as I may complain at times about A Phi O, it is the only thing that kept me here. If I just stayed in my dorm with my roomie freshman year, I never would have stayed. Not to bag on my roomie or anything, its just- she didn't have enough of a hold on me to keep me here. And so that is why I hold Minh (my daddy) and quite a few people from my term in high regard.
plus, my lil bros mean alot to me too.

Lily, my big bro, had alot to do when I pledged, and I didn't get to see her as often as I would have liked, but we were still two crazy people stuck together. I used to copy her hairdo's 'cause I though they were cool. and I remember asking her once
"Hey Lily, doyou ever wonder why they stuck the two of us together?"
and she said "no, because I was the one who did it"

Lily, my first lil bro, where are you? I'm sorry that I wasn't the greatest big bro in the world. You are my first, I kinda didn't know much. But you were so busy all the time, but whenever I see you, even today, you still smile and give me a hug. And even though you are not around (I know how hectic your schedule is) know that you will always have a special place in my heart, and I will never forget you.

Sarah, now, there is a very good chance you might read this, so I going to word it carfully. I have to be honest, I still really didn't know what to do. I remember my first impression of who you were is when you decided to run for Pledge service with Alan. When I got you as my lil bro, I was excited and scared at the same time. I mean, Lily was never into A Phi O that much, and I was wondering if you were the same way. but once I got to know you, gods, you are an amazing person Sarah- do you know that? I mean, you are so strong, that sometimes I felt useless as a big bro, 'cause you could so do so much on your own. I really wanted to be there for you, and then one night you talked to me, about stuff that was really bothering you, and I was so happy that you wanted to talk to me, and that you trusted me. I am so proud of you. You told me at banquet that you admired me (and its making me cry now just like it made me cry then) and I want you to know that I truly admire you. you are going to make this world a better place, and I love you sweetie.

Tiffany, my quiet one. When I got you as a little bro I was really worried, becuase you are so quiet. But there is something about you little one that surprised me. When I got you with your friends, then you came out of your shell and really blossomed. I hope that you will blossom more, because you are a beautiful person inside and out. There is so much in you, and i know that school and stuff tends to bog you down, but no worries. you'll do fine, and know that your big bro is always there behind you. Lead your own path sweetie, but I'll be there to help in case you stumble along the way.

Adrienne, cherry blossom. I feel like I have been saying this to you so much. But I am really happy to have you as my lil bro. and I am looking forward to spending more time with you. I won't say much... 'cause there is still more fun to be had.

now its time to go
this post took too long to write anyway.

ok...
so I thought I had a paper due on tuesday
but in looking at the calendar I realized, that is due on Monday.
so with 13.5 hours left.

its time to blog....
hee hee
sorry, short one since I really do need to write.

this one is for Christina and Alan.

I finally got around to making beef stew. Its not AS good ad my moms, but hey, its my first try and with directions like
(in her filipino accent) mom: "cut up the beef"
me: "how much?"
mom: " i don't know"
me: "umm... okay, what kind of meat?" --- (meaning like, tri-tip, rump roast, etc)
mom: "Beef"
me:" (sigh) okay, go on"
mom: "add cornstarch"
me: "okay, how much?"
mom: "i don't know. enough"

yep, and that what I had to go on in making beef stew. Come on over and have a bowl!

assumptions.....

you remember the saying "when you assume, you make an ass out of u and me"

yes, yes, people take those words to heart.

and think this. I am nice to people only becuase I choose to be. Believe me, I can be the biggest bitch this side of the Mississippi second only to my mother. but never ASSUME you know the reasons for my actions.

let me tell you the story of what brought on this blog:
I was working last night, the smaller Wyatt theater, and was working the door with my two ushers.
now, as I mentioned in an earlier post.), if I have the seats to offer, and I deem you worthy to get in- (meaning you ASK) , then I will have no problem letting a person in to see the show. Plus, Majors in the drama dept. have comp tickets, and sometimes they just forget to get them, or problems arise.
Anyways, one of my ushers, a freshman so I gave her some slack, well, she was one of those "thinks she knows everything" and for some reason takes everything literally. I mean the stage manager told me "encourage people to walk across the stage to get to their seats" and she was standing there. So what does she do. to everyone who enters, she literally says "you are encourged to walk across the stage to get to your seats" *sigh* but thats not the problem

enter:: Mischa
yes, the boy whom I love to death, even if he is an ass half the time
also, just for all you readers to know Misch is NOT a major, I repeat, NOT a major. which means, he does not get a comp ticket.
So he comes up to door, and me and Amy (the other usher) stop him, and are about to harass him (in jest) for not having a ticket. You, again I repeat this boy is the bane of my existance, but I still love him, and I had every intention of letting him in, he just had to ask.
Yet this other usher, the freshman, Kerry her name was, simply handed him a program and let him in.
Amy and I now give each other a look like "what the fuck?"
and Misch talks to me for a second, but he can tell I'm pissed, he can also tell I'm slightly pissed at him (for basically walking right past me) and so he's trying to calm me down, but he knows I'm mostly pissed at the usher, Keri.
for a second on Misch. He has an ego the size of the westen seaboard (if you think I'm talking behind his back, I'm not , its a running gag when I say to him that his ego just pushed past Montana) and so, I take many opportunities to bring that ego down (never really mean, but I'm not falling at his feet)
yet Keri has fallen into the Mischa trap. Where everything he does is gold. I ask her "why did you let him in?" and she says
"Well, Amy let him in"
Amy: "no i didn't"
Keri: "but he's Mischa"
me gives the look with the raised eyebrow "Oh please, do not add any more to his ego than he already has"
Keri: (turning to Mischa) "You can walk across the stage to get to your seat"
Me: "No, if you get him on the stage, you can never get him off"
(exit Mischa)
and Keri looks at me like I have insulted her hero.

then, since there is a lull in the line to get in I turn seriously to her and repeat
"so, why did you let him in?"
Keri looks at me like I"M crazy
and so I say "he's not a drama major"
keri "but amy let him in"
amy gives a look of disbelief
me: "no she didn't , 'cause I was standing right here"
me" Misch is an engineering major"
keri " oh"

WHAT, no fucking apology for screwing up. Sorry missy, if my boss comes in and the house is full, becuase too many people we let in, its my ass on the line, not yours. Thats the reason why I make people ask. And most people know that I will do everything in my power to help. but NEVER ASSUME anything about me.

later that night, after I let the assistant stage manager in , and another person from the cast of Midsummer Keri says
"why do we eve have comps since everyone knows everyone else anyway?"
Amy and I give each other another look
when I told Sarah (drama Sarah- not aphio Sarah) she seriously gave me the "you want me to take her out?" look

instead of ripping is tiny little head off, i responded "The other house manager doesn't know many people"
UUUGGHHHHH
obviously you don't know everyone since you didn't fucking know that Mischa wasn't a major
obviously you didn't realize that the whole damn system for the comp tickets emerged when Darrell refused to let Rachel in (again- reference to previous post.)
ugh
fuck
ugh
stupid people

anyways
Mischa came up and thanked me (in his own special Misch way) for the ticket and we're cool
and
going swimming at 11pm, with Sarah, Amy, Brain and Ryan and then sitting in the hot tub with them later calm me down very much.
(then again, sitting in a hot tub with two very lovely boys always calms me down) *blush*
oh god what have I become?
but that's for a different post

anwser me this... why in Davis is it hotter at 3pm than it is at Noon?

ugh, heat and finals combined sucks

My Name from www.kabalarians.com.

Samantha
Your name of Samantha has made you versatile and creative. There is hardly anything you cannot do if you put your mind to it, but a driving urge leads you to one experience after another, seldom finishing what you start. You cannot find peace of mind or lasting contentment in anything you do. As soon as a challenge is met, boredom sets in, and you yearn for another experience. This restlessness makes it difficult for you to assume responsibility and to establish stable, progressive conditions in your life. You could do well in sales work or in meeting the public where quickness of mind and expression are all important. You have many friends, but lose interest in people very quickly. Your intense mental activity spoils system and concentration, and plays havoc with relaxation and sleep. Out of your quick thinking has been borne hasty speech. Acting on impulse instead of with forethought has led to many disappointments and bitter experiences. Your whole nervous system could be affected by the intense emotional influence of this name.
