this is me studying..........
MWHAHAHAHAHA

anyways, updating this becuase I finally have time, and Justin told me too....
lets see

(right now, I'm also ina chat room with a bunch of peeps who will read this tomorrow)

---long and fairly detailed post, but good times, good times--- if you would like to simply skim through the post (which you will probably want to do... just read the "side story stuff" and the points in bold!)

Fanime Con was this weekend.
Thursday was horrible,
actually, lets start with wednesday
was up all till 11 at Kinko's in redwood city
then met up with my dad in San Jose at a denny's to chat
then headed home
I drove while Will and Rosina slept, and then around 2 or so got home
Made Will go to sleep telling him that I will "wake him up in an hour"
then answered A Phi O e-mails for over an hour
made lunches for thursday
then started laminating badges till about 5:30am
never woke Will up, until he needed to go to work at 6:30

Thursday
--- had a great rehearsal with my actors in the morning, while sucking down my chai tea to keep me awake, but they were fabulous.
had a meeting with my teacher, which was a little scary (she's all famous, and has directed stuff from Ally Mc Beal and ER and stuff)
but she really liked my work and my relationship with the actors so SCORE!!!

--- went into Coffee House which somehow sucked all the energy out of me, then
--- headed to office max to buy badge holders for fanime con, then didn't have enough (we needed 40 boxes and they has 4)
--- headed back to class for a hellishly boring lecture
--- had to skip out on a fun class (children's lit ) right before the midterm, to drive to woodland and sac to buy more badge holders and still didn't have enough
-- finally get back to davis around 6, leave for San Jose like at 7:30 (which is really bad since we need to open reg at 8)
-- get to the hotel, with a really long line of people, only to find out that the room that was supposed to be set up, wasn't and that no one had the key
--- finally get the room open, and SCORE!- get the huge pre-reg line through in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
--- now the same people who were complaining to us are now complementing us on a job well done
--I continue to laminate badges for all the staff and guest, etc... thus becoming the laminating nazi!
(thanks to Brian from Cosplay for making me laugh with his constant references to me as a casino dealer)
but it was funny! I just yellling at everyone who tried to help me with the stacks of badges, but usually ended up messing with my flow. and I burned my fingers that I couldn't feel the heat, and people would accidentially grab really hot badges without realizing it.

---get moved to out real reg room, and am up till 4am trying to set it up (silly con, gives me 1200 feet of rope to use to partition off the pre-reg and the at-con reg lines, but says that I can't cut it! whats up with that!)
--- get to the hotel room and shower, hit the bed around 5am.

meanwhile... in an undisclosed location (HAHAHA, just had to put that in)
-- Will is off doing who-knows- what, until 5am so that he can go to Home Depot to but rope and other such supplies, only to find out that Home Depot doesn't open till 6am (yeah! what happens if I need a power saw at 5am? bastards) and calls me.
I take my hour nap, but I told him to call me at 6 to wake me up.

Friday--
At 6am- wake up, and my staffers, and drive to the con (yeah, stupid con, puts the REGISTRATION staff in a different hotel... we only need to be the first ones open....grrrrr.....)

-- get told that the room isn't open and need to head to Con Ops (convention operations) to get someone to open the door.
--- get to con ops and get the first of many looks i will receive during the weekend (the "who the hell are you" look). And so I have them radio down to have someone open the door, only to be told that they are already there.
-- i run back down, passing my best friend along the way, who just got there, and knock on the door
-- when I open the door, dragging him along with me, I get "registration is not open yet" when I shoot the rover (security) a glare, he says, "Oh, your staff" and lets me in
---after a few minutes of trying to figure out what is going on, I send the rovers out to control the massive crowd of people outside and split the lines from pre-reg and at-con reg.
--- after that begins, I am about to open the doors to the people outside, a volunteer who is supposed to help us walks outside and starts talking to the crowd

side story:
so this volunteer is similar to the comic store guy off the simpsons, except he's tall and skinny.
when I ask him what his name is he says "Chris, but everyone calls me neko-chan"
to which I respond "Well, CHRIS, I need....."

continuing on with what happened outside.
I walk out and the rovers have very nicely split the lines, and I'm going to explain to them the process of bringing people in when Chris /neko-chan begins to say
"Okay everyone, we need to have everyone split into two lines, one for pre-reg and one for..."
at this point he is cut off by the rovers that come up standing next to him and me who is staring him down about 10 feet away.
You see, during his little speech, the attendees were looking at me (the one who seemed to be in charge) and stared staring at this guy like he was crazy.
The Rovers say to him "what are you doing?"
and he says "trying to organize it into two lines"
to which the rovers reply "what a pre-reg line and an at-con line?"
and the he says "yeah, so that we can open"
and the rovers say "what, the pre-reg line --- THAT IS BEHIND YOU and an at con line --- THAT IS IN FRONT OF YOU"

and he begins to say " what, why didn't you tell me what was going on!"
and the Rovers say "We knew what was going on, she (pointing to me) knew what was going on, I'm sure the staff inside knows what is going on, and the fans know what is going on..."
then he continues "well, why didn't anyone tell me" and other such nonsense and we simply shove him back in the room and open reg. =)

--- (7:05am) open reg, pre-reg went through first, and a little bit of probs with at con, but basically went okay
--- that was basically the biggest deals on friday, reg was slow, for the most part the staffers began to play hearts over the network with each other. walked through the dealers room once, checked out what I wanted to buy. No big problems (or else I blocked them from memory) got to hang out with Rick (one of my best friends) whom I haven't seen since like Christmas-- who kept talking to me in Japanese, but I semi-understood anyways.
--- Rick began to laugh becuase I would stare off into space when there was nothing to do, but I was still holding a ketchup packet ("Not just ketchup, but Fancy Ketchup" as I explained to him)-- I think he took a picture of that at some point =)
--- at one point got so sick that I needed to lie down and sleep, but hotel room was too far away, and I tried to sleep in the Van, but it was FREEZING, and a phi o people kept calling me. I looked worse when I got back to the reg room than when I left.
--- after reg closed at 8 (2 hours after posted- again at the request of the dumb con) went to go pick up Rosina from her place and ate in Chinatown in Oakland. scary hills in the Bay!
--- drove back to the con, to crash in the hotel room, about 2am (note to self: yes, oh yes, Double Dragon is still one of the stupidest movies on the planet)

okay okay, you still need saturday and sunday, but I really need to study for my midterm tomorrow
nite all (its already 2am and i need to read!)

check you laters

can't stop
can't slow down
too many things
too little time
no rest
no time
... and then, it
ends

My heart is hurting beyond words
The pain is tearing up my soul
These days have seen my spirit die
My life propelled out of control
My wounds lie nake to the world
My depth of suffering exposed
this damaged past can never heal
Until this nightmare book is closed

My heart is hurting beyond words
The pain is tearing up my soul
Please tell me how can I retreive
The life that all this sadness stole

I'm in a funk
so be prepared for a several post night, or maybe not, depending.

First I want to share with you this little animation file
sent to me by Seth,
its cute and sad, but the song really got to me

Lyrics:
Wishing on a dream that seems far off
Hoping it will come today
into the starlit night
foolish dreamers turn their gaze
waiting on a shooting star
But
What if that star is not to come?
Will their dreams fade to nothing?
When the horizon darkens most
We all need to believe there is hope
Is an angel watching closely over me?
Can there be a guiding light I've yet to see?
I know my heart should guide me but
There's a hole within my soul
what will fill this emptiness inside of me
Am I to be satisfied without knowing
I wish then for a chance to see
Now all I need
Is my star to come...

the link to this is here
its cute to see the little cat singing...
