I wasn't interested in buying this game originally. I'm still waiting to see what gameplay is actually like.

but it has an ALTON BROWN !

might be worth it to get it just for him.

O Alton, I heart you!
I would love to hear you explain the origins of peaches, or the different types of rice while I play wii...

(BTW in case you are interested in purchasing in the game, it doesn't come out till late september)

another day in paradise...

I guess i should post a pic to show that I'm in Waikiki. But... the camera is upstairs and I need to sit in the 2nd floor lobby to get wifi, so the lazy me isn't moving. I'm in waikiki once more with my dad. Man, that makes me sound spoiled. My parents got a time share 25 years ago in this hotel, and we've been using it ever since. I don't think they have ever traded for weeks in other places, so often times we come back to the same hotel. Not that Hawaii is not beautiful. But I've done it before.
If anything, I'm not a good vacationer. I like to chill, and take my time doing stuff. I like general plans with flexibility. If anything, I hate feeling pressured to get here or there constantly. Not that its all bad. I mean making dinner reservations, or getting somewhere to see a show is cool, but don't plan out every minute of every day. Vacation shouldn't be work.
Also, I don't hate going to do stuff. My Florida vacay earlier this year was awesome. 10 days in Disney World. If you know me, you realize it would be very hard to top that. Here, its like I've done everything already. Plus its just me and my dad, and we have different styles of relaxing as well as socializing. From stuff like he likes to hang out in bars, I like to experience good food. Bar food here, isn't amazing. Hell, most bar food isn't amazing. My dad is also a picky eater, and since he's picking up the bill, I can't complain too much. I just see outside all the people my age who are out partying at Senor Frogs or Coconut Willy's, and I just can't do that. Its just not my idea of fun. My cruise last year with my high school friends was a sweet gesture, but they spent the entire weekend pretty drunk, and I felt alone. I like to talk, and discuss things with people, and vacation isn't really the place to do stuff like that, so I guess I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Though beautiful those may be.
But overall this trip has been cool. Went to the Aloha Bowl swap meet and bought clothes I didn't need. Some cute Chinese outfits that I don't know where I'll wear there too, but I have them just in case. Bought some stuff for peeps at home, and found a cool cookie place to get more goodies.
I can't sleep here though. And been feeling a little ill. I'm an easy victim for heat stoke (which is why the disney trip in January was extra good). I suffered a bit today after the swap meet. Ugh, I thought I was going to throw up on the walk from the bus stop the the hotel, and it was only 3 blocks!
My dad is going diving tomorrow morning again, and hopefully I can sleep in. Then more shopping and relaxing. This trip has given me lots to time to think about my life and the people in it. About my relationships with friends, and the people who listen when I have issues, or even when I just want to talk. To those who secure an image of me and choose not to alter, no matter the consequences. As I see people leaving my inner circle, I start to think about those that I keep in. Those that are really there for me and enjoy spending time with me, versus those who use me to kill time.
Ugh, its getting into issues I don't want to write about right not. But lord knows I'll be thinking about it again tonight. But I want to leave on a happy note.
Hawaii is GORGEOUS. I'm trying new things with me camera, which is making me really want a digital SLR. I've wanted one forever and now I'm hoping to get one.
hmm... happy note! I have a mango passion fruit cheesecake waiting for me upstairs.
now THATS a happy note.

Love you... miss you!
Went to an outdoor mass today, and that was beautiful to watch. Hawaii is amazing. The skys, the beach, the everything. Wish I got the wii fit months ago, so that I would feel more comfortable in swimsuits.

Do not ever concern yourself with the ones who burst in outrage at a decision that is inconvenient to them. Instead watch with a close eye those who do not utter a word, who like vampires hide in the shadows. They carry far more passion in their silence.
