LOST...
My week is starting out like gangbusters.
Monday ---aka Valentine's Day, Black Monday, Single's awareness day, etc. turned out to be eventful. I slept in, and when my cousin got back from school we ate the chiken she picked up for lunch. Then I really noticed that my doggie wasn't acting normal, and he wouldn't really go up on his hind legs like he always does. Suddenly, he crawls, trembling, into my lap and cries/whines at me. Then it seems like he's having trouble breathing, so we rush over to the vets, where we spend the next 3 hours. Then we head home, my cousin heads off to work, and I try to keep my dog company because I have to confine his movement because he has a calcified disc in his lower spine, so hopefully the medication helps.
But the night held for me... informative conversations online. I hate valentine's day. Not becuase of the commercialism or anything like that, it just always seems to be a crappy day for me.
Tuesday--- I sleep in as much as possible this day because I know I have graveyard shift that night. Once I woke up I did my best to feed Cube (the dog) his meds, has to clean him up since he had an accident in the room (that was really gross). After finally getting him to eat, and finally (two hours later) getting myself something to eat, i was able to relatively start my day. Went to workout, race over to Monterey Park to go to dinner for my aunt's birthday, and then race back home to go to work.
At work... this is when it got weird...
9:45pm- got off the cast shuttle, only to realize I left my purse in the car. (This was not THAT big a deal, since the bag I carried had my lunch and a few bucks just in case, nothing was open anyway)
(Wednesday)
12:00am- realized my watch was gone. I knew I had it 'cause I checked it at 10, but now nowhere to be found. You see, though I don't really have an emotional attachment to that watch, (it was a gift for my hs graduation from my uncle aman), I still like it alot, and I've worn it for years. I like to imagine it sorta represents me, classy and nice while being loose at the same time. (if you know what my watch looks like, you would understand what I mean). I spend most of the early morning hours going through the rooms at work searching for it, to no avail.
( i even made the stupid comment "it can't walk away, its got hands not feet")
2:00am- Then, I grabbed my ear, a nervous habit I've developed over time, to spin my earring... only to notice that my one earring was missing. I was so fustrated by this point I wanted to cry. I haven't felt a sense of loss for anything yet, but it was like COME ON! how much more can I take? (for the earring, i think it's in the car, I found the back in the middle seat, and i figure I lost it whenI was changing) Graveyard shift is totally slow, and I usually didn't know what to do with myself, since I wasn't allowed to get started on the work for the next day ("thats for the morning shift to do!" as I was informed several times)
5:30am- At work, we get a phone call informing us that the mother of one of my co-workers passed away. I'm not that close to the worker, but it still saddens me. Then someone said "nothing you can do now but get over it", I thought that sucked. but I didn't want to say anything, so it was about time to head home... and so I did.
6:15am- I pull into the McDonald's drive-thru, to get no service, so I go get my McGriddle on the inside... trying to make my day better.
home, sleep
3:00pm- wake up, take a shower and head back to work. Chugging a slim fast on the way there.
man, I need a vacay and a better job. (well, i love my jobs, but something my stable would be nice)
now maybe off to sleep, 'cause I'm back at Disney again tomorrow. Hopefully my watch will be found. (FYI, I called today around 8, still no watch)
