One crazy couple of weeks.
So Fanime is once again almost upon us, and this year has been especially hectic. I chose to stay back in So Cal for an extra week than I normally do before the con (which was actually 2 weeks past when I headed up last year) but for good reason. There was some training that my work offered that I really wanted to be a part of.
The night of the training I packed up my stuff, and the following afternoon headed up for Davis. (Several hours behind schedule, as usual)
Hit Davis late Friday night, back down the San Jose for a meeting Saturday, sleep over at the flat in SF with Will and Ashley to head back up to Davis Sunday afternoon.
Stayed in Davis for a sweltering few day, working on this-that- and whatever before the convention. Working on costumes, which included a day long adventure into the City on Bart, then stopping in Vacaville to get out of traffic. In addition, trying to completely move all the stuff out of my room (finally).
Friday night into Saturday morning I'm packing up the van, but not too full to drive back down to San Jose for my parents Knights of Columbus convention. My father, a newly elected office must now take control of alot of stuff, which is why we needed the van.
The true hectic natures begin now. My parents will be taking the van back down to So Cal Sunday, thus leaving me carless. I will need to check into my hotel tomorrow with all my stuff for the convention. Then hitching a ride back down south with friends and family heading down to go to Disneyland after the convention. Only to come back up once more for a post-con meeting in Santa Cruz on May 30-June 1st.
This is then followed by hopefully the final leg when I fly back down on the 1st in time to make it to a friends wedding that night.
June 2nd- phone will be off, windows and doors shut, dog hopefully quiet in his own bed... for I will be SLEEEEPPPPPING away.
see ya at the con!
PS
Hi Scott
