Decemeber 29, 2002 (at least it is when I started this)

thus the last post of the year, since I know that I will not post again before new years.

lots has happened in the past few weeks
Came back to Cerritos, its hard to call it home anymore. I find myself calling Davis home more often, but still I'm a little lost.

first and foremost, to my family and friends, I'm sorry.
I really haven't been "here" lately,
wrapped up in my own ball of conflicting emotions to grasp the situations around me.

Something is coming

I don't know why I wrote that. But I feel it, and I don't know what "it" is. We stand on the end of a new year. Lets see where it takes us. At times I find myself standing alone in a room only to realize I blacked out for quite a bit of time (like 10-15 minutes). Even now, I don't really know what I am going to type next.

lets get back to the simple stuff:

Being home: I constantly get questions about what I am going to do after I finish, and I've never been able to answer it correctly. I just want to see where I will be in six months. Plus being in a house that used to be a home, but no longer so. I was upset when I came home to find that my room was once again filled with stuff. When they remodeled parts of the house, my family packed everything away in boxes and put it in my room (which is super tiny in the first place) so much that I could open the door, and that was about it.
So i spent the whole summer clearing out the room of all the stuff, only to come home and find it filled again.
I had to share a room with my cousin Mila. Whom I adore, but you know, sometimes you just need a place of your own. Its bad enough that I'm living out of suitcases for 3 weeks, but to not even have a real space to call your own really sucks. Then just being home I was doing chores like I never left, cleaning up messes I never made, and cooking dinner because no one else would.
Ray even commented at one point "you finished talking to all the mice Cinderella?" 'cause its true.

so again I'm sorry- When people call I'm doing stuff around the house or just too tired to talk. But luv u Boo!

oops getting kicked off. Time to go. be back soon

So I said that I would get this done sooner or later, so it is a little bit later than it is sooner.

Read if you want, don't really have to. This is more for me and my show than it is for anyone else. (But adds depth to the character if you actually see Do Not Disturb) But I needed to do this, just to get it down, and this seemed like a good outlet

The Life and Times of
Rachel Marie Weston Gunderson

Rachel Marie Weston was born to Rebecca Irene Dreysdale-Weston and Kenneth Samuel Weston on June 7, 1974. She grew up in Orange County, CA where she attended private school through high school. Her father is the owner and CEO of Weston Advertising, Inc. and her mother is a distinguished corporate lawyer. She has one older sister - Elizabeth Ann- who is currently married to Michael Lawrence with three children. and ond younger brother- Edward Jeremy- currently unmarried and attending UCLA.
Rachel grew up in a relatively well-off family. Having to see her family grow from lower middle class to the ranks of higher upper class, Rachel is no stranger to her family being tight with money. Yet, despite all this, money is important to her. She likes to be taken care of, but has a fierce indepentdant streak within her. She attended USC on full scholarship where she recieved a degree in Marketing, she currently is a vice-president of Weston Advertising, Inc.
On to more interesting things, you never quite know what you are going to get with Rachel. Though has been sheltered most of her life, she still has a quick wit, attitude and a short temper. Though she can handle most situations, from hangin with friends in a bar to tense boardroom decisions, with the greatest of ease, she has always needed to work for what she gets in life. Put up against a perfect sister, whose beauty got her prom queen titles and a line of men around the block waiting to do anything for her, and a younger brother, who was the pride and baby of the family, Rachel knew to get attention, she would need to break out on her own. After her sister's marriage at 22, and her first child at 23, Rachel knew that being a stay-at-home mom would never be the life for her. Since her sister married into even more money than they already had, Rachel saw the high society life style, and wanted nothing of it.
Her brother, was babied from the beginning. Though he is not spoiled, he can get anything he wants from his parents. Rachel and her brother are closer than her relationship with her sister, Jeremy still continues to go though life under his parents rule, while Rachel decided to forge her own path.
Enter Brad Gunderson. Though it would be nice to say that Rachel and Brad had a love at first sight relationship, nothing could be farther from the truth. While on a blind date, set up by her sister, Rachel sat behind Brad at an Angels Vs. Giants game. Rachel, though the game was in San Francisco, is an Orange county baby and was cheering for the Angels. Brad, being from the Bay area was a Giants fan. Though the two would never had met if not for that blind date, being annoyed with the "rich boy" her sister set her up with, Rachel needed to take out her aggression on something. Brad was the perfect target. Brad, being painted up and decked out in Giants gear, chose the wrong time to get up and cheer for his team. So how did these two meet.

Rachel threw a bag of popcorn at Brad's head.

They turned. Looked at each other. Glared for a bit. There was definately a spark, but if the spark was love or hate no one knows.
They ran into each other a week later when Brad was down in LA for a photoshoot. Being a photographer (well, and photographers assistant- he carries the film) he was shooting an ad for one of Weston Advertising, Inc clients. Rachel was there to supervise the shoot as a representative of the company. Brad saw her again, and when he came up to her, instead and demanding an apology from her for her behavior, he asked her out for coffee.

They started dating after that trip to Starbucks (a chai tea fro her and a mocha for him). They are happy togther, Rachel just wanting him to be a bit more spontaneous and a little bit more daring, and to know that money really isn't everything. Its the thought that counts. Even though her parents did not approve of the relationship, since Brad was not utterly successful, she kept seeing him becuase she wanted to. After six months, Brad proposed in a rose garden in the park. Then within the next month he took off to Vegas to get married...

and thus brings you to the beginning of the play....

wow december already,

i can't believe it. Sorry about the lack of updates, really just haven't had anything spectacular to write about. School continues on as normal, finals are coming up real soon.

Rehearsals are gong well, Oh! I got cast in a play, Do Not Disturb or The Misadventuristic Aftermath of a Holy Matrimony in Downtown Vegas, (yes, that is the WHOLE title) and rehearsals are pretty fun. I play the wife, Rachel, and probably as an exercise for me, the next post will be a character sketch of her. Its great to be back in the theater dept., even if I am really letting go of A Phi O right now. Still working towards my sturdy oak though, and really want to be there for my lil bro as much as I can.

had a good thanksgiving in Davis, lots of food. Kuya Willie made the Turkey, I made the Ham and pies. Charlene was still up here, Milly and Jason came up, and I invited a few pledges who didn't go home over, and Ian brought over some awesome peppermint brownies. Nice time, stilling in front of the TV watching "A Christmas Story".

Wednesday saw Treasure Planet- good movie. I recommend it. Though I am missing the Disney Musicals- like Little Mermaid and Aladdin. Guess its never been the same since Tim Rice died. but it was a good movie all in all. There were a few parts (like when the Captain and the Doctor talk to each other) that I don't think little kids will understand, but still, go see it!

LILO and STITCH comes out on tuesday!

Orlando Bloom is on the cover of YM. He's so pretty! *mwah* never went all teeny-bopper-ie over a movie star before, but I do for this one!
--- speaking of which- Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers comes out on the 18th!

welcome the newest addition to my family St.John-Voltaire Sam-Urbayan. My baby nephew, born the day before thanksgiving! please send good thoughts his way, I heard that he's not doing so good.

umm... I'll stop right about now. going to finish up a paper. Actually working on it before the last minute --- yes yes be proud. be back soon with Rachel's background!
